If I'm told I would only last another 48 hours, I would not believe that.
So I would probably just do the same as usual until that very last second.

Only THEN you know your time is up.

48 hours to live is not much different from last eight years for me.
Now, if I was definitely going to die in 48 hours...
It's a deadline. I can do deadlines.

First, load up on an ungodly dose of glucose and caffeine and inject enough insulin to process that.
Second, notify any people that should be aware of the matter (which means not just at my work, but also any place where I am performing any sort of community function)
Third, start tying up any loose ends from my side. At least those I can manage to in those 48 hours. Those I can't, write instructions for others to do.
Finally, write a last will.

wow what an interesting way to spend your last 48h - writing FAQs, arranging abandonia forums and answering to questions of people asking what is DOSBox and how to use it.

I would gather all my family together and talk about our times together. Apologize for some things, explain others and make sure all my belongings went to someone who cared about them.

I would take very large loans from banks, drink whatever alcoholic beverages there might be in our house, and tell all my relatives exactly what I think of them.

Ok, not really. I'd spend the last hours doing the things that mattered to me most: and yes, that involves videogames.
And I'd really like to sleep for the last hour or so: I don't want to die tired, just in case death isn't like sleep like they say.

Those are not the kind of "loose ends" I was talking about.

Or, maybe I'd get some anesthetic and knock myself out.

Nice question...
Well, I don't have a real fear of death, I have fear of leaving the people I love, I don't like to see them sad.
I would like to pass with them the last hours of my life, you know, to have special moments with them.
And naturally I would ask to a parent to say goodbye to all Abandonia Dudes for me.
