For a couple of minutes ago, a young girl in the next door house had planned a little Sunday trip with her family. Little did anyone know that a drama was about to happen...

She had forgotten to put the handbrake on, and "parked" the car outside the house. A short while later the car decided that it would rather take the Sunday trip by itself, so it started rolling down the hill outside the house, over the road and through the bushes of those living under us:
(That little red figure on the balcony is the unfortunate girl.)

When it hit the bushes, the wheels turned and it started heading towards our house:

(The wheel-path)

As you can see it managed to roll right between the house and our bushes. Once through the tiny gap, it hit a ladder we had fastened on the wall and changed direction once more. This time away from the house. Until it came to a stop in some stones we haven't laid out in our garden yet.

As you can see, if those stones hadn't been there, the car would've entered straight through the windows in the next door house and into the livingroom of an old couple. The car had some serious speed at this time, and it would've thrashed their livingroom completely and killed anyone it would've hit.

So thank God those stones where there...

Let this be a lesson to everyone. Put the handbrake on

Absolutely no-one was harmed, and the car only suffered minor damages. The real damage was done to the bushes. But they will be up and running next spring.

No. The car was just removed by this handy little fellah.

Wow! Its very lucky that you had a giant pile of stone slabs in that very place!!!!

I have a hand break story that happened 2 days ago. (Its kind of the oposite.... and less distuctive )

I was leaving my holiday job and was driving home a new work friend (happened to be a particularly attractive one!)
I started to reverse out of the muddy parking lot and was wondering why it was so hard to move.
Now I was looking quite puzzled when I realised that....Hand brake is still in!!! .

So... as casually as posible (and with a small cough) I let it down fast and quckly changed the topic!!!!

Unfortunatly....she noticed, oh well, almost blamed it on the mud!!! almost!!!
