Sorry, I guess I was too vague: It "installs" but with a warning that my OS isn't supported. The same message appears when I try to run the darn thing and then it won't run.

Well, many problems with this os, too. Had two calls to the Sony-hotline. They are very unhappy that they can't put XP on their newer machines anymore, since vista means a huge decrease in quality to their products. For some reasons I have problems burning files on dvd. I've destroyed nearly 20 DVDs until now... after a system recovery it's possible again to burn. But very ridiculous since I didn't install nearly nothing...

Somebody on another forum I frequently visit said that Windows Vista is essentially the next-generation Windows ME. If you are a Windows user, better stick with XP for now. Otherwise, you can always run DOSBox in Linux, right? :bleh:

Go Beyond Vista. It's time to get a Mac.
The ultimate PC upgrade.

P.S.: :bleh:

Nice...

And well, I don't believe that this is a topic to blame Vista for its bugs and to say A said Vista is completely shitty and B said A was completely right. And the statement Vista is the next ME is something you have to wait a little with. Cause when XP came up everyone said stick to 98, to 2k or to your god**** a**.
And now everyone's using this hole of crap
Of course you all may be right. Though, this is a topic on problems Vista-Users have, and maybe even how to solve them. Did I repeat what I said...?

Because MS made sure you either had to upgrade to the inferior system or perish. That's why I have a dual boot today

I'm worried the same thing will happen with Vista. Eventually the worst things will be solved, and it'll become somewhat useable, Vista will get upgrades so that new programs must either work on pre-Vista ór Vista, some deals are signed so any new upgrades are Vista only... And we end up with triple-boot systems. :P
Of course, you can put as many boots as you want on a MAC and still not have stuff work

That said, to make this post somewhat on-topic, there's no reason to 'downgrade' your DirectX, iirc. Maybe it's just the early quirks of DX10?

Amen to that. Back on topic everyone?

First post edited to include Morrowind.

About that stfu thing......I think i learned this saying on these forums (someone's signature):

"Never argue with an idiot. They always pull you down to their level, and then they beat you with experience."

Too true.

P.S.: That stfu website had a layout that instantly said to me "I was created on a PC by a PC user".

Mac is for stuck up people who think they're better than everyone else by owning one, and are ready to pay too much for it just so they can feel like that.
