Well... it's been rather long time ago, I don't exactly remember, so I am not positive about this, but isn't the vampire lord's real name randomly generated? If so, I'm afraid you need to refer back to earlier saved game right before the accursed book mentioned that name. You do have earlier saved game, right?

but now nobody would want to talk to me because of the "brimstone" stench.
How do I get rid of this? Thanks!

You need to complete the task that the book has given you. The book is the only thing that can remove the curse.

Have started game in Dos but no sound (toggled F9). Can anyone help please?

Also what are you supposed to do in the blue squares that open up in some speech? And why are some words underlined in red? I haven't seen any help on this :blink:
