Default Lotus trouble

HI. Excuse my ignorance, but i'm trying to run the lotus game by double-clicking on the lotus.exe file. The screen turns black for a second and then it goes back to windows. I was wondering how i could solve this problem and actually start playing the game. thank you very much.
