Default Kart Race

Hey,
I'm looking for a karting game a played a long time ago..
I can't remember the name anymore, maybe you can help me.
It's a karting game, im sure there was a desert level, and a level with lots of ice and jumps. You were able pick up with fireballs, bowlingballs (bowling pins actually, but you'd be able to shoot bowlingballs) mines and bananas.
And I remember one of the characters was a baby.
(and something tells me there were also turbospots who looked like ">>" )

I've searched this forum and some other websites.
I couldn't find it anywhere..
Maybe you can help me!
(great website btw!)

Ps. Sorry for my english

I'm really sorry to bump such an old thread. But ey, it's better than making a new one.

The thing is, I'm looking for the exact same. I'm a big fan of abandonia and I almost always find the old games I'm looking for execpt for this one. So I registered to look for request for it on the forum, and this is what I found.

Mister McToast is talking about the exact same game, I'm a 100% sure

It's not Skunny Karts or wacky Wheels and most definitely not Road Hog.

The description sounds about right. Small karts, all the characters are kids.
You could shoot fireballs and bowling balls. If a fireball hit you there was this horrible explosion sample and your character would be black/smoking for a second. The bowlingball flattens your character.

It might have been japanese with a menu in broken english!

Especially the bowlingpins/bowlingballs should be a clue, right?

Found it! Finally!

It's called: 카트 레이스 (Kart Race) - PC-DOS (1996)
It's Korean, not Japanese. You can find some pics here. Third game from the top.

So, does anyone have it? I haven't found the game itself yet.

The developer is defunct. It wasn't an ESA member.
Sold only at French Amazon Marketplace.

I think we can label this game as 'approved'.

Are you sure, Cluseck? Even though the in-game screenshots shown on the website MeaningLess linked to are in English, the cover is in Japanese (or Chinese, can't tell the difference for whatever reason ). This suggests to me that this game may not entirely be in English, which, depending on how much (or little) English is in the game, could cause this game request to be invalid. I'll ask paco about this and see what he thinks.
