Wow, no one's commented on this game in two years.

If I download it and play it, would it be possible for me to do a new review of it? As I'm not prejudiced against dirigibles and in favor of recreational drugs, I feel I might provide a more balanced review.

Not really. The review itself is decent content-wise. And replacing a review just because you don't agree with his opinion doesn't sound right. Just thinking that my own reviews could be replaced at some time in the future because someone doesn't agree with it makes me not want to write any more reviews for Abandonia.

... and if you feel the urge to write a review that suits you, you always can post one in

Default Some tips

If you want a really quick play:

1. Don't fly anywhere (neither with passengers, nor with freights)

2. Get 2 x 3.000.000 loan for 3 years (you can also sell your company's 49%)

3. Wait only for contracts to construct zepps for sale. Opportunities for contracts appear at (about) the following dates:
1901/01/15
1901/09/20
1901/12/06
1902/07/07
1903/10/15
1904/04/22
1904/10/24
1905/04/03
You have 3 weeks to fly there and take part on the tender (under City menu).

4. Save the game before those dates, so you don't have to fly all around the world (with Z1 it would be impossible to fly to San Francisco in 3 weeks)

5. Apply for the tender and save the game. Try to get contract for 3-4 zepps.

6. After winning a contract, try to construct fast:
118 workers for 6 weeks,
141 workers for 5 weeks,
176 workers for 4 weeks
Always have enough raw materials, price is not so important!
In assembly you should have always dozens of zepps :-)

7. Also try to develop fast (with at least 50 scientists). Don't build yourself a zep, until you finished all your contracts! After developing Z-8, you can transfer people from Berlin to San Francisco for 4.220 or take the longest trip from San Franciso to New Delhi for 6.170 (in this case, you often have to fly back to Berlin for maintenance)

8. Scheduled flights are good for passive income: you should have in every town 1 office with beginner management (costs less), with 2 routes and only 1 zepp / route (the more zepps you have, the more expenses you have, but the income won't really change, it must be a bug..)! The ticketprices are almost unimportant (bug 2.): for inland flights 10/1/10, for oversea flights 100/5/100 (person/post/freight). You can have max. 27 routes, income is about 130-140k/route.

Bonus: races are held at 1901/07/05, 1903/07/xx and 1905/07/06

I hope it helped!

PS:
The contests are hold in every second years's July.

There is some bug in the game, so if your money is over ca. 2.1 million, you'll lose the game, because the executor comes...

The game ends in 6th May 1940...!!!

Good luck!
