My first pc was a 386-SX. It was my dads actually, and it died when I was 3, when he was working on its hardware, and accidentlly touched the motherboard with a screwdriver while turned on. So he upgraded it to a Pentium 1 (12 years later I fry) which we played games like Wolfenstien 3d (my first game), Doom 1 / 2, Jill of the Jungle, Monster Bash, and some kid stuff like Reader Rabbit, and a awsome school bus driving game, which had CGA GFX (If anyone know it, please post/pm me). Then he got a new IBM Aptiva with a better P1 32mb of ram (I had a tantrum when I saw the memory test showed a big number, I had 16mb of ram). Anyway, he had 95 on it, and later upgraded my pc to 95. Few years later, he got a Pentium II custom built pc, thus giving me the IBM. In 2003 I bought myself a Pentium 4 emachine (upgraded from p1 to p4, LOL), which I still use to this day. My dad 2 weeeks later bought a Dell, which had better specs then mine, including a better video card. But today, my dad got a laptop, and is giving me his Dell, which I will upgrade to 1.5gb of RAM.

Other computers I got over the years:
-A Toshiba P1 Laptop
-A Commodore 64
-Four Different Macs
-Numouris PCs

My mum bought me a C64 when I was like 10 or something. After that I got hooked on Giana Sisters :P A couple of years (5 or so) later my dad bought a 486DX2-66 and I persuaded him to double the ram to 8 mb and get a double-speed cd-rom with it (so I could play 7th guest ). Then I got hooked on Lucasarts adventures
The first PC i bought myself 2 years later was a Cyrix 150+ with 32megs and an 8meg video-card (don't remember which one). Two years after that I upgraded to a Celeron 300 (@450) with 256 megs...
Had a Celeron 1000/384ram/32mb vram and Cel1300/512ram/64mb vram after that and am currently back to AMD with my 3200+/1024ram/256vram.
Oh, I also have a Dell Latitude Cpt Celeron 400 Laptop with 256 ram and a Fujitsu 4110 Cel 333 with 256 ram.
And a NES, 2 Sega Genisisses and a N64.

Edit: I also had a Handspring Visor Deluxe PDA with 8 mb for a couple of years

I got my first computer 25 years ago. It was a Sinclair zx-81, z80 cpu, 1 KB RAM, tape recorder to store programs ... Wow!!!

It came in pieces (case, mainboard, chips, resistors, condensators, power supply ...). I had to solder everything on the mainboard by myself, and I will never forget the moment I switched it on. It worked by the first try. :Brain:

Then I had a C64, C128. C128D, a few Amigas, and then some day bought my first PC (don't remember the date) but it was a 80386 DX with 33 MHz, NEC Multisync screen and Nec P7 24 needle printer. I have paid aboiut 10,000 $ for that one ...

MY first comp was a Commodore +4, I got it when I was 4. I learned to read and write on that no, really! The first thing I did learn to express was typing "load" and pressing enter. The first thing I learned to read was "Press play on tape" I'm not kidding!

Then: 386DX --> Celeron 100MHZ --> Celeron 333MHZ --> 1.7+ AMD AthlonXP (which I currently have)

A Bulgarian clone of an XT! It was sometime around 1988. It was not even fully compatible with a IBM standard!

LOL

Now that I think about it, I learned my firsts words of english while playing Doom (words like health, ammo and such)

Diablo was also an help in learning english.

there was also a other game (can't remember the name), wher it gives you a word , and you needed to find the picture coresponding to it, while jumping, avoiding monsters and all. Since it was in english, i also learned a few words there.
