Default Starquake

As B.L.O.B., the Bio-Logically Operated Being, you are sent into an unstable planet and charged with the task of preventing it from exploding. This involves collecting various items (the exact combination is different every time you load the game) and taking them to the planet's core in order to prevent the massive explosion from occurring.

Feel free to comment and discuss the game here. Also, if you have any useful tips or tricks don't hesitate to share them with the others! Thanks!

Default Great one

Oh great, I remember playing this game on my Atari 800. It was great, I've spent a lot of time exploring map, taking notes of teleporters names and drawing map. In version I've played you had 99 lives though, so it was significantly easier.

Yeah, I noticed such a version floating around the net; but this version also is 'crippled' because it was..erm..fixed for windows machines. That is to say, SVGA Cards in windows 95 or 98. It basically has disabled some CGA-specific graphics code, which allowed people to play the game on "modern" back in the days before we had dependable dos emulation. That is obviously not needed now; and while the 99 lives thing is probably nice lol, it's just a little bit cheating .

I had a lot of fun with this game on my C=64. It's funny be the teleporter codes that I remember (yeah, sometimes I remember useless things from 20 years ago... ) are different to those given here. Maybe C=64 and PC just had different codes. Those I remember are:

SIGMA
KAPPA
METRE
ASTRA
PHILIS (or maybe FILLIS?)
CHASM
POLAR

Maybe I'll try them
