I wont be much on the Abandonia forum in the next few days.
I've just had enogh of the crap-throwing, stupid people who don't know how to debate, some more crap-throwing and immature people. I just don't like this place anymore, it's not the same as it used to be. You might find me on AR, and I'm always on msn |

Yeh, I agree with you there. I don't like the spamming flamers either. Well, if Puffin leaves, I leave, and I don't come back til the spamming flamers are gone and kicked in their behinds. I'll watch the place from guest services til they are. :bye:

So, the logic here is that the best way to make the board better is to stop contributing anything sensible to it?
Reminds me a lot of the HOTU forums some 3-4 years back.

What's the point in saying something sensible when it just gets buried under 3-4 pages of spam, or private flamefests, so that most people don't even bother to read it?
If you can't connect with people in a community through meaningful discussion because what you say is mostly ignored due to the fact that it's not filled with enough trauma & drama to catch people's attention, then you're not really part of that community anyway. |

Since the "teeny boppers" invaded this site I've preferred AR. I'm sure things will get better here in time though.

you're making me a sad man
If all you decide to ABANDON the forum, it is like giving the forum to the flamers :ranting: Please resist! Stay! |

Well once a forum is getting bigger things like this are bound to happen... More people comming to the site - more people posting crap (that's normal).
Especially because new people weren't a part of our little spaming and flaming posts (not that there were that many) of the past. Well once you make a good thing everybody wants it and that kindda spoils the good thing. I suggest people don't leave, but just wait it out a bit. And maybe we could get some new rules (I've seen this on quite a few boards that after you register you can't post for two weeks or a month - that usually discourages the newby spammers - just a thought). |
