I want to rip Natasha Bedingfield's "Unwriten" but the program I normally use for this (MusicMatch) refuses to rip the last track. Most likely this is caused by some form of copy protection. Since my computer can both see and read that track I am confident it can be ripped.
Does anyone have a suggestion with which program I can achieve this?

Alcohol 120% can rip and handle various encryptions. It might be worth giving that one a try, although the only free version of it that's available, is a free 30-day trial.

Try vuplayer it is mainly a player but has a very nice ripping part and I never had any problems with it.

www.vuplayer.com

If that fails then you can also try audiograbber

The music must be copy protected.

protected music cd = I don't buy. The only use I have of cd is making mp3, since I use my pc to listen to music. (Which is private copy and still legal, I just hope it says that way) So if I can't make mp3, It's usless...

I ussualy use Cdex. don't know how if it would manage to break the protection, but it's a good, and free , software.

Mmm. I had some "ripping the last trak" problem. Audio catalyst refused, then CdEx managed to get through. Still though the fact of having data after the traks was the problem, but maybe it was a protection. ..
