well if you set the vdmsound or dosbox settings to be the same (otherwise it would be pointless) setting the setup.exe sound settings higher would give better sound, but use more cpu power. i only have a 1.1 ghz amd so i couldnt test. i know from my blood map making days that the sound samples in blood arent at a very high sample rate, so having more channels would be more useful than higher samplerate. |

If you put the sound to the highest quality it makes people in the apartment below you scream and wet themselves LOL

Hey there. Just curious if this includes the Plasma Pack add-on?
Heh I was looking at the instructions at http://xoopx.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/blood.html , and it mentions making a batch file. How do I go about doing that? |

Guest: No, there isn't Plasma pack in it.
How to make batch files? Write them like text files, but give them extension .bat

I need to share this with you guys.. I'm so happy! Here we go...
I bought today a magazine that came with Blood, and I was desperate to play it... DosBox is damn slow, VDMSound is not 100% perfect (the sound... ah the sound...) So I downloaded the DOS Boot Disk here from Abandonia, along with the Sound Drivers (luckly, I had exactly the Sound Blaster Live! sound card) and configured everything. I also downloaded a patch that allows me to play in the 640x480 resolution, so the image is damn good! Get it here: http://www.deathmask.net/buildxp/ (look for "Step 5 - Get NOLFB") The sound is also perfect, maximum quality and all! So this is it, running Blood perfectly! |

Oh sorry, forgot to add this important detail...
You must install Blood into a FAT partition, so it can be read by the Boot Disk. |

http://dos32a.sourceforge.net/ get dos32a and replace dos4gw.exe with it (and rename the dos32.exe to dos4gw.exe) its a much faster version of that program - will let you play in higher res with faster framerate. using my tricks http://xoopx.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/blood.html i play in 800x600 on winxp |

It's me again!
I can play the game perfectly, but for some unknown reason I have no cinematics playback (the videos). What could be going on? |
