I think that they have hoverboards then.
They'll have hover-everything. Hovercars, hovertanks, hoverbuses, hovertrains, hoverlawnmowers, hover-hovercrafts LOL , hoverplanes LOL ,hoverhelicopters LOL , well this is just getty silly but yeah. I'm sure you get my point. [/b][/quote]
Hovercars - Practical..
Hovertanks - They is in Starwars, dude!
hoverbuses - Big hovercars?
Hovertrains - Look up MagLev. Its real. Levitating trains!
Hoverlawnmowers - My friend's dad has one.
Hover-hovercrafts - what is that??
Hoverplanes - VTOL?
Hoverhelicopters - Uhh.. superhelicopters?

i know this is kinda different from the theme of the rest of of the posts..

but, rather than the amazing technology that will available.. what really interests me is the politics of the future.

(hopefully) 3rd world nations would have caught up. i wonder what impact that poor african, asian and south american countries will have in places like the UN which are extremely Euro-Americocentric.

also, it will mean that developing nations will use much more power and resources. where's that all going to come from?

it will also be interesting to see what the influence of religion will be. it took an intellectual tradition of hundreds of years to diminish the importance of europe. i wonder what improving life standards within a hundred years will do in other places? will it be technology and religion grow together, or civil war?

A hundred years from now, there'll be Half Life 2 as abandonware, and hopefully, something better than the umbrella.

the whole time travel debate is a tough one..

although it does seem it's people that want to believe in its possibility vs physicists..
