Of course--and this means they're regularly read by everybody, right? I've placed several in the forums I moderate up on GameBanshee. At regular, even frequent intervals, we get people showing up who have clearly ignored the stickies and their contents.

Dont question it. im no lawyer and i dont try to be, i just like old games. If a game company sayd i can download and play a game, why do i care if some idiot wants to try and sell it in his shop?

Well I must admit I never read Stickies, even the two ones that are being read. But I assumed a lot of people did.

And if there is a Sticky, and then someone asks a question that is answered in the sticky, we can all flame him, how fun would that be.

Abandonware is a term. Legaly it doesn't exists.
Either it's Freeware, Shareware or Licenceware.
Intelectual property is protected anywhere from 50-90 years.

Fortunaly for us, ppl are human, not robots. We never INTEND to harm anyone, we are just annoid over the fact that so much work gets waisted, just bc companies feel they wont make enough money from it.

Try google a little for Abandonware... heck even use the SEARCH on THIS FORUM, and you'll find quite some debate.
