O.K. This is about Painkiller - Battle out of Hell. The file I need in order to change the language - lscripts.pak (it's 1.52mb). The file I got is f*cked up. Deliberately, the people who had bought the licence to sell this cool game encrypted the "lang_english.txt" file EXACTLY like "lang_russian.txt". Don't know why the hell that happened, but I think it's because selling price is always lower that way.

If anyone has Painkiller - Battle out of Hell, please attach this file:

LScripts.pak which should normally be located in your Painkiller directory "data" folder.

I only have the original Painkiller, so I can't help you, but that is screwed up, where did you buy that copy?

I suggest you contact them, it's really stupid to buy that for 20 bucks to have files switched up.

It only cost 6 bucks. I translated about 800 lines of text by using the other lang forms (for example - the spanish lang file contains about all text in english), I mainly used the original Painkiller lang_english file for the 718 lines, cause the Booh version of the file is almost exactly the same. I can give someone the FRENCH or GERMAN files for the 100 lines of text if anyone could translate it.

The original PK was a ENG and RUS hybrid too (all text english + original movies with an extra layer of russian translation, so it is impossible to hear english).
I hate those "licence-buying-and-f*cking-up-game-programers".

Thanks, man. k: Don't worry - it works. Thanks to you, "PK Painfull extractor", "Dragon UnPACKer 5" and the orig PK lsripts file.
I can now enjoy PK - Booh.

The crossbow is a stakegun in PK.


Maybe there is a program for restoring the movie sounds? :blink:
Ahh well...

BTW:

I can't find a program (AC97 Realtek Sound Manager) in my PC. Maybe you have it? Cause the shortcut in my quick launch toolbar won't come up anymore from the "past items" to the "current items" (I don't know why. I haven't deleted it.).

I really enjoyed that "Sound Effect" program, and now I can't find it!
I've also checked in program files and found "realtek", but the folder is empty.

Any help????? :blink:
