Nope, I'm at home, and I don't have any strange connections, I am part of a home wireless network but this particular computer (Mind you, none of my computers can access Abandonia when it's "down") is wired to my Router which is wired to the wall..

I have a router and abandonia always works fine.
Even the shoutbox has been unusually good recently.

I actually thought the site was down for about an hour or so a few days ago (I can't remember when...maybe sunday?) Because it wouldn't load no matter how much Irest, or what browser I used. Course, it was also at a time when most yall were sleeping, because I'm like, 9 hours behind board time.

Could it perhaps be a DNS problem?

Exactly WHAT router is it? D-Link perhaps?
Is it a DSL-modem at the end?
Is the modem Bridged?

First off moved to Comments and Suggestions (this Really doesn't belong in blah blah blah).

I do think it is a problem with your ISP. Tom has experienced similar problems in the past I believe. Your ISP might not be updating properly or frequently.

It's a NETGEAR Router, hooked up to a Rogers Cable Modem, don't know what you mean by Bridged, but it's a single modem, none of this ISDN, "Double Modem to speed up your downloads and triple your Internet bill" stuff.

The only noticable lag on the site is when we (the updaters) are moving really big archives around (for instance for the daily update) OR when the mailinglist message is being sent. This makes the site difficult to access for about 1.5 minutes every day... Sicne the updates are done at a more or less random time every day, the chances of someone noticiying it two days in a row are slim (or you're browsing Abandonia too much ).

hmm yes. Could probably optimize the mailinglist a bit.
The archives moving around shouldn't take that long though..
