So, a while back I bought another hard drive for my notebook (60GB 7200) and I have the previous blank HDD (30GB 4200) just sitting there. I don't want to use it as an external drive so I was thinking of just switching it some times after installing another OS in it. Any suggestions? The notebook is a compaq presario 2816ea PIV M 1.7

I thought of installing BeOS but with it being dead and all I changed my mind. So, what do you think?

Yes, the thing is that I have no interest in it and wouldn't know what to do with it anyhow since I am a gamer first of all. So perhaps some niche free OS or something? Hmm

I think pure dos would have problems with drivers of the motherboard. I bet he couldn't get it to run the sound properly, if at all. They should make a device where you can plug that in, and it would then attach to your computer through USB. Then I would format it to run memory off of.

Of course, the memory bit only works with XP as far as I have seen
