I have small question. I wonder if Resident Evil is abandon game or not. I can't find it in any polish shops and in internet shops like Amazon. Could anybody help mi with that?

I doubt strongly that it's abandoned seeing how Capcom knows they can still make money off of it.

Zactly, it's not abandonware because the series is still on going. Seeing how stingy Capcom is it's most likely that it won't ever be abandonware until the company goes down under.

I thought it isn't abandonware, but I wanted to get sure.

This raises an intersting question- does the existence of different versions affect a game's AW status?

For example, say Resident Evil was still easily available on Playstation, but the PC version was no longer supported. Would the PC version be considered abandoned even though the game is still available in another format?

Once again, do you know Capcom?

If it's still widely available on the Playstation, it's still the same license and rights! That means that the PC version only counts as a direct port, making no difference whether one version is supported or not. All they need is keep one version safe and the other is in their hands too.

It's hard to explain, but in truth they really aren't different games, only different systems.
