yay!!! love this game. it seems different, though. the characters look more wacked out than I remember, I think cuz of maybe a problem with colors. also, the sound doesn't work for my computer. that sucks - the music is what I wanted to hear most. very fun game.

you should try the DOSBox emulator. if you need further information, there is a FAQ in this forum.

The World Atlas was a REAL World Atlas, which means it was probably around 600 Pages, I seriously doubt anyone would want to undertake scanning an obscure Atlas liek that.. It could be replaced with just about any used World Atlas from around that time period, though.

With the Atlas, the game was not as hard as this review implies, and in fact, was absolutely perfect for the age-group it was designed for (4th - 8th grades)

You can't. As it says on the page, it is ESA Protected and No Go.

Actually, there is a wee man living inside your pc that sees and hears everything you say and do. :bleh:

Not a bad game. I just found the installation floppies for this game last night... wow, 8 disks for this?!

Heh. It's got great educational value for young'uns. I first tried playing it in grade 3 or 4, though, and needless to say, I got immensely frustrated with it and couldn't solve a single one of the cases. LOL

I've just graduated from high school, though, so this game is a little too easy for me. But nice to revisit and finally conquer. (Wikipedia is handy for the qualification quizzes.)

The photos are a nice touch for their time, though. Same with the sound. But I was playing this for about an hour at 5:00am on a really old laptop (monochrome LCD screen, no mouse, PC speaker, 80 MB hard drive) and that didn't detract from its charm. Actually I was amazed it would run on a crappy early 90s system. Then again, it WAS an early 90s game.

(Sorry if that was a little off-topic.)
