Well, with your PC you're able to run almost all games in DosBox without any problems as it's fast enough. I don't see your point, playing games in DosBox is much better than in Windows XP, otherwise you'll continue to have these troubles in Windows.

Just increase and decrease the CPU cycles until you get it running at the right speed! You could also increase the frameskip if it's a bit jumpy.

Afraid I can't help you then.

I run nearly all of my DOS games in Dosbox (have done ever since I got WinXP because I get similar errors in Windows or the games just won't run) and they all run absolutely perfectly - I have not yet played a game in Dosbox that didn't run beautifully.

It is not possible to run Dos games in Windows XP well, if at all, with few exceptions that run good. And if they run, then without sound, although you might want to use VDM Sound for that.
You can increase the cycles in DosBox with CTRL+F12 (CTRL+F11 decreases them), and at some certain amount which depends on the speed of the PC the simulation speed slows down again instead of increasing, because the CPU can't process the high amount of simulation speed then. I have no idea what is your PC's problem with DosBox, but I would just advise you to experiment with DosBox a little, it's worth it.
