There should be more games, rpg and adventure only, about alien abduction and good ol' fashioned aliens and UFO's. It's been a long time for a new X-Com, and most '50's' alien games are pretty crappy!
I always had an idea for an adventure/rpg game based on being charged with the murder of a family member due to them having disappeared with no trace, then finding out about the abduction and trying to solve the mystery. The pressure would come from having to survive while getting clues (no credit card use, etc), having to move slowly to find the clues to get closer to your family member before they are killed/dissected/UFO leaves Earth, etc, but also having to move quickly as the police/FBI are on your tail as a murder suspect! So move quickly, but not too quickly; lots of pressure, plenty of opportunites to throw spanners in the works and surprise the player! When I get a few million from the lotto, i'll make it and let you know!  |
