Yay, I got this working in Vista.

Follow kuifware's suggestions on page 15 (installing dgvoodoo and copying the files into the ignition dir - also d/load and extract the 3dfx patch found on google).

Then run the IGN_3DFX.EXE file in windows 95 compatibility mode.

One of the funniest racing game I ever played!
Opponents can really be bitchy sometimes :notrust:, but I guess that make you try even harder in the next race! :amused:
Are scores kept in IGN_WIN.BTZ file? :wondering:

Have you done all that or just skipped right to the compatibility mode? :amused:

Hi,

i tested 3dfx-ignition with the latest GlideWrapper084c.exe.
Get it here: www.zeckensack.de/glide/index.html

It works fine with that emulation-driver for windows and btw. it works with "Diablo 2" or "Heretic II" too.

See ya

- unzip the patch files to your Ignition installation directory
- download the Glide wrapper dgVoodoo (http://dege.freeweb.hu/); I took the 1.40+ version
- copy the glide2x.dll and dgVoodooSetup.exe files (from the dgVoodoo zip) to your Ignition installation directory
- run ign_3dfx.exe and have fun!
Got Ignition working in Vista by following these instructions. But with a few differences

1: I extracted all these files http://www.freeweb.hu/dege/dgVoodoo1.40plus.zip (Glide wrapper dgVoodoo) in the Ignition folder.

2: I had to run the "dgVoodooSetup.exe" and on the "glide" sheet set the resolution to any given value (NOT "set by the application").

3: After these steps the game worked ("ign_3dfx.exe", no compatibility mode needed).

And I didn't have this little problem either.

I think that we could create a web page an update there our ghost in order to make something like a competition.

I don't know how to create this, but could anyone create it please?

And Do anybody know how to play with more player by internet or cable?

you can emulate virtual lan via hamachi (it's easy, you just click connect to a network that you and your friend make). then you can play with "LAN" option over the internet

Default Play online

Many thanks Russ,

So you think that could be possible to play enter this page and enter the option "Lan in internet", don't you?

And then people would play in only one screen or in the divided screen?

DO ANYBODY WANT TO TRY TO PLAY IGNITION BY THIS METHOD?
