You're sure about this?

It seems weird that they would discard the first game and hold on to the rest... :?

Oh well.... I'll be back soon with more information.
(In my head this game is now abandonware!) :P

Just to be on the sure side...

Close Combat 1 did not have an extra title. It was just called Close Combat.

Unlike other CC games that did, like "A bridge too far" & "Invasion Normandy"...

This is correct, yes?

I am sorry to say that I can not find Close Combat anywhere...

Maybe it is because this game is extremely huge... 382,37 MB to be exact.
You can find it on eMule. Maybe you should try it... It's the only advice I can give.

I saw that you could get it from someone on IRC. Like I explained on some other forum: get mIRC (http://www.mirc.com), join an EFnet server and then join the #oldgames channel. For more info go to http://www.old-games.net and check out their FAQ.

I don't have emule and don't think it would be useful if I would try it, since my connection is limited to 1,2 GB of data sent or recieved monetly so I can't upload files big enough to gain enough credits.

Then it would be no or little point in installing it.

eMule works on the basis of transfers from you into their server, which enables you to get files from them faster.
