Jeez, another one of those comments.
I imagine he or she thought there were some developments since you stated over 3 years ago (03-06-2005 in this thread) that you were contacting them.

There were some developments. LucasArts was member of the ESA, and we made a deal for protection 15 years (for "common" games) to unlimited (for special games) which we consider as still valid till stated otherwise. As of May 23 2008 LucasArts left the ESA, and we haven't had a dialogue with them yet. Would be difficult anyway since the old deal went via the much more cooperative ESA.

Long story short, they didn't reply to any of our attempts to contact them. Period. Ever.

Default Guybrush is my hero.

Just bought the new Tales of Monkey Island series. As soon as I got the info on that I had to go and buy it, because I love the series so much. The first Monkey Island I've got, eh, non-originally :embarassed: from a friend of mine. I loved it so much that I had to go and get the original game, just for the sake of having it, but that was after finishing it and getting the LeChuck's Revenge. I still have the whole series in they're original boxes, somewhere on the shelves, but I can say that this is, in my opinion, the best game in the genre ever created. And I'm talking about the LeChuck's Revenge. Never enjoyed much the newer graphics, but I love the story and the mood so much I just don't care for the terrible 3D graphics.

I loved LeChuck's Revenge. Murray the talking skull was my favourite. That and the evil undead beard. "I'm Guybrush Threepwood, mighty pirate!" "You don't say..." Had it on an old 486 we bought years ago, when Pentiums were still the Next Big Thing. Maybe they'll release a compilation of all the old Monkey Island games as a tie-in to the new one.

Very good sequel, when you finish Monkey Island 1 and you want MORE, there is this gem.
