Default Noctropolis wants the real disc

I have the image of Noctropolis CD-ROM and I'm trying to install it but there's a part in the installation when it prompts me to insert CD one and I can't do it. The CD image is mounted on the F drive. What can I do here and in other cases like this one?

Do you have an image of only one CD for this game? If so, are you sure the game doesn't consist of more than one CD's? It might be just that you're really lacking a required CD to install the game.

Always use D: to mount a CD/image in dosbox.

And when asking for help please post more details.
OS?
Dosbox version?
Mount lines (all of them, detailed)

And some additional info from Vogons:

The game install routine from CD expects a cd label 'Noctrop'. Simply use
-label Noctrop
when mounting the drive and everything works fine!

Hi I'm using Windows XP and it is the Dos version I think. I'm not sure about using D my own D drive is used as half the hard drive. I tried to mount it on a virtual F drive. As for changing the label I don't think I have a mounting tool that can do that. Yes I only have the one image file.

Previously when I've played these kind of games I've installed in windows and then mounted the directory with the game in it to DosBox and started it that way.

You mount images and CD drives as virtual D: in dosbox, nothing to see with the real drive letters under Windows, nothing at all.
You install the games in dosbox, not in Windows.

You install CD games in dosbox from a virtual d: CD drive -(real drive or image)- on a virtual C:, once again I repeat: nothing to see with your real drive letters under Windows, that's why they are called virtual drives.

You don't change the label, you add -label xxxxxx on your dosbox mount line.
-****>> dosbox readme and tutorials.

Even if doing otherwise work sometimes, for most of the games it will not work if you install them in windows.

And I'm really too lazy to repeat once again the why, it's been explained a thousand+ times.
