I need help. I visited my friends house today and found that he had a playstation 2 Emulator. Though he was not sure how to use that, I copied it in Floppy Disk and then tested it on my PC. Even I could not get to use it and then I searched for that "EKAf" PS 2 Emulator on Google.
On the first result I found this:-
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic...=2411&start=60
Now this webpage shows that "EKAf" is actually "FAKE" (read it backwards), plus they also say that this file is actually a Virus! I am using MCafee Virus Scan Enterprise Edition which I have updated yesterday and it didn't find any virus. Obviously, now I feel it may be risky to even keep that file in system. Please test that file with your antiviruses and tell me that what actually it is? A PS 2 Emualtor or really a virus!
Check this also:-

Here you can download it:-

Please help!

If there are any ps2 emu's out there, then they are most probably in the initial beta stages, and don't expect to be able to play them at 100% and expect the comapatability list to be really small. On top of this, Anubis is right, u would need an athalon fx and a x800 to play it i bet ;P

The only "reliable" ps2 emulator that is being developed is http://www.pcsx2.net/, however, as guys said before - there wouldn't be, in the nearest future, any emulator good enough to handle ps2 games (ps2 is based on 128bit architecture, whereas 95% of contemporary PCs are built on 32bit). Can You imagine playing Quake on an Atari? Neither do I.
Regards.

So you're saying that despite the fact that the computer is a hundred times faster, the PS2 can handle a larger bit rate?

It would be realy cool thou if Sony would to create a Virus/trojan and release it as "PS2 Emulator"... No wait... Microsoft allready did that...

Vipin: if you'r lucky, it never infected your system. But have this as a thought next time you decide to get an emulator and/or use cracked games (there is NO reason to run PS2/3-games on a PC, it should be played on the console)
