And we learnt about this icelandic guy who lived in Norway, who was imprisoned, but survived. And when the Allied came to Iceland and took over the place for a while and stuff... Don't remember exactly

I know my story is not exemplary for the entire Dutch educational system but my history education was quite good. I learned about the holocaust when I was 11 (it may be a bit too horrid to teach younger children about it). I also learned about my owns country's role in slave trading which is something that gets lost very often.

Anyway Alexander the Great was gay yes. Why did you think he did not have any heirs even though he was married? Homosexuality for men (not for women strangely enough) was not considered wrong in ancient times. Things have not improved since then.

a lot of people for many different reasons are ignoring facts. A lot of times it's impossible to explain somebody how bad it was, as they don't trust you.

And if something is right, we prove by your word? I said that I had couple of big books at home, titled 'history of the world', but I did not find any facts in there that showed Alexander the Great to be gay.

Are there any facts, or Hollywood is making this up just to make more controversial movie, which brings profit in most of cases.
