Thumbs up

Hi guys,

at first I was really happy exploring your nice site with lot's of good old DOS games and it is updated REALLY frequently.

But now concerning my question.I figured out that there's a difference of your webpage between different languages. It seems that the english version provides the most games.I'm from Germany but I'm also quite well skilled using English language so to me it is no difference using German version or the English one.So News section is also a bit different.

Does the language I'm using to browse Abandonia has any effect of the versions I'm downloading?

I guess it is only about the avaible reviews. For example for "Heroes of Might and Magic" there exist both German and English review.

So please post also games if they don't have reviews referring the language section you post it.Let me explain.Consider "Terminator2:Judgement Day."There exists only an English review. So when I'm exploring the Action Games section in German language I do not find TM2:JD I have to use search function instead. To my opinion it is not necessary having a review in every language (or may be users can post one using FORUM)

Keep doin' a great job.

The only difference ther is, is that English is the primary language. This means that reviews are made in the English language, updated to the site and then translated into other languages (I bet the German team wouldn't mind a new translator - if you would like to take the job). It can not happen that a game would be updated in the German language first (and would later be translated into English).

And as to the game languages, they are always the same (there are only a few games and I think one manual) that are available in more then one language (in case of games, you can change the default English language into a different language).

Well a translation into Serbian wouldn't be a bad idea...
Ali bi na svaki način takav prevod morao biti u cirilici.
Can you make it in cyrilic alphabet? Would be very useful I guess.

it depends if you want the translation to be letter after letter, or you want to keep the idea of the sentence,
I might be helpful anyway

What's that got to do with anything?

well, if you want it to be in cyrilic alphabet only- that is one thig, as each letter has it's equivalent in it

if u want it to be in russian, it's a different thing... I would have to think..., would be a different thing.

it's like a translation, u know
