I voted yes.
Frankly, most arguments I heard were false, both in the Yes campaigns and the No campaigns.

I actually heard one argument implying you should vote no because the government spent a lot of money on the Vote-Yes campaign!

One of the arguments of the yes side here in Sweden is that we need to unite if we're gonna compete with China or India during the coming 50 years...

... I'm not sure what to think myself though. I've been spending to much time coding and too little time catching up with politics to know what to vote.

I voted yes too.....

Well, at least my little country was on the international news. It was "breaking news" on CNN, that has to mean something.

O, by the way, the most conservative votingdistrict of them all (the former island of Urk) it was a 92% against vote. The highest "yes-district" was just above 60%. I love statistics.

Well, not the whole government, but there were some politicians talking about threatening wars and holocausts, making no point to anyone really. Even the euro-being-too-expensive-argument of voting against the constitution makes more sense then that, and that has got nothing to do with it either.

And Urk is just.. weird

War and holocausts against whom? It makes no sense. In a sci fi scenarion a united EU would fight against I don't know, middle east or russia or usa, but , how the, I just don't get the logic behind it.

I approve of the aftermath of the French vote; it is gradually bringing the value of the Euro down to where it should be. Hopefully, one Euro will soon be worth $1.25 US.

There are those of us who think the EU should be disbanded (but the Euro's value isn't the main reason why). I think Europe should return to being a continent of allied states instead of one giant country. Europe should set up a watchdog committee to see that every country is free of corruption and that its people are granted their natural rights.

Other than their inflation and deficit limits (that our government will never be able to fulfill ), I really don't see any influence from EU in here. Might help that my island has a somewhat independent economic system from mainland, and the money we receive from EU is basically to compensate the produced goods (bananas, grapes, wine, pottery) we aren't allowed to sell (in excess) in order not to screw the european economy. Then again, mainland gets a bit of that money in regional taxes so we end up losing some. I saw Independence or death. (Both are better than being portuguese I guess).
