Can someone with better experience PLEASE explain to the people in this forum why the Sierra and LucasFilm games that are on the site, are on the site. Not only do they think that this place should be shut down, they also think some of the games on the site already should be taken down. And I am stuck in a corner. :help:

Well, they're correct that it is illegal, but the internet is all about legal gray areas. Abandonware is illegality with moral justification, but still distinctly in violation of copyright laws (as injust as they may be). However, we're providing a great service to all the people out there who want to experience abandoned games, again or for the first time.

I can't be bothered to create an account and back you up there, as I think it's pretty much a neverending argument of holy war status. But feel free to use any part of that little paragraph up there in your own argumentation on the subject.

(This counts as a bump for anyone who has justification for the LucasArts/Sierra games here, since I also do not know the entire situation.)
