Holy....

That's exactly what I've been saying to my boyfriends for the past 6 years.

God Bless David Lieberman, for having common sense.

Too bad more people don't catch on
Lieberman's the man!!

No. I just rarely post unnecessarily long ones.

Wo...some great thoughts to live by, Evad.

I try to forgive - essential for peace of mind - but there's one person in my life who I'm finding it difficult. I get upset whenever I think of them. I tell myself it doesn't matter...and to put things in perspective...but I still find myself having hate sessions whenever I remember things they've done. I once loved to write stories and create music, but after a year of obsessing over the actions of this person, it's kind of drained away the creative energies. That is one reason why forgiveness is so important. The anger that festers if forgiveness doesn't oust it will eat into your soul until nothing remains. It has been shown that anger can affect your health, too. So forgiveness is one of the most important things for every human to do.

If you can.

At least for those who still retain their humanity, to say so.

This is pretty much the number one reason I believe that all things should be forgiven (if not forgotten). I have a lot of experience with the way anger that is not let go can affect your body, mind, and soul, and none of it is good. It gives energy for a short while, if you can harness it, but if you do not let it go, it does nothing but consume, and twist you up inside.

I used to be a very angry and bitter individual.

In this way, I don't agree that forgiveness is only for the person to whom it is given. Most importantly, forgiving others is good for your own well being, on many levels. The person who has benefit the most from my open policy on forgiveness in my life is myself.

Absolutely, Taikara. I agree that forgiveness is for everyone. But sometimes it seems impossible...even though you want to. I'm working on it.

I tend not to forgive anybody, because when you do something, sure you may be mad at them for a little, but after all people are people so what can you expect? I don't feel like anyone needs to be forgiven at all, for if it doesn't make so huge an impact on me (nothing should) then why bother?

I think at first I act very agressive, but I'd say that I forgive(maybe too much) over time, I should probably make my reactions more balanced, but sometimes I'm too impulsive...

I totally agree..well put.
I've experienced this myself. The truth is, I think, that you can only have expectations on yourself. Like one man told me "It's not always about finding the right person; it's about being the right person."
Another wis man I know (my roomate) believes that we all choose our lessons in life (the people you will meet;the hardships you will fall into; even your parents..) I don't know what I believe, but whenever I find something to be totally unbearable, I ask myself, "if I did choose this, what can I use out of it to grow as a person"? :bye:
