I used ZoneLabs ZoneAlarm when I had Win98, but I'm not telling you it's better than others. I'm now using the Windows one, what did happen to yours? However,

I used to use Zone alarm. But, sinceI have a router, it acts as a firewall (the way it's configured anyway )

Zone alarm has updates. I don't think the router firewalls have them. so i use them both. Router's firewall and Zone Alarm.

Out of the blue I just couldn't download files of any kind. They would stop at some random position without finishing the download. This would happen in explorer and through bit torrent programs. Only works when I disconnect windows firewall. Nothing seemed to work so I'm better just to disable it.

Cheers for the feedback, am testing out Zone Alarm and all seems well. k:

I have recently found this thread rather interesting when looking for free stuff around the web.
