hey. our new pc got bundled with a keyboard which only handles 6 keys at the same time. is there any way to bypass this, other than getting a new keyboard?

Just for my personal comprehension:
Why would you want to handle more than SIX keys at the same time?!

No. This is strictly a hardware thing.

oh. Icewolf, this is for a game called O2Jam. It's a rhythm game where you have to use 7 keys.

How about a joypad or joystick? Many of them have 8 or more keys which probably can be pressed all at once.

This is stricly hardware related, you would need to purchase a special keyboard if you want more keys pressed at the same time.

About all the basic keyboards I know have this kind of limitation.

I think 6 is actually pretty high. Keyboards are meant for typing.

If you can reconfigure the keys, you may get more as some keys clash more with each other.

Yeah, that sucks when playing SC2 on a keyboard. It's odd how old DOS era keyboards didn't have those limitations (I remember playing many two player games on one keyboard).
