and thats about it for now folks, i will cover mounting cd images on another occasion. once u get into dfend it makes entering different configs for games a breeze. thanks to this puppy im running frontier faster than it was on my p2 (i have had to sacrifice the music , but its well worth it) so i will leave u with something that has bought joy to my heart. hehee

i realised why i havnt got around to doing this and as this isnt a dfend forum i think i can be honest here.
if you want to play a dos game from a cd image i would personally not use dfend. you will get some bundled images that have a playable exe on them but installing a game via the cd if a game has cd copyright means you have to get a crack. and its annoying cracking a game that you made the image of. own the box for ect .. now for this i would recomend clone cd, deomen tools and vdm sound. but thats not within the realms of this tutorial. having said that if the cd image has got an exe you are going to have to have mounted it in deomen tools first to find out. (images coming) after you have installed deomen tools right click on the handy little icon next to the clock select the fresh virtual drive! browse to the image file next you have to set it up in dfend. just repeat step 3 browse to the virtual drive and select your games exe. (often i just install the game from the virtual deomen drive in explorer and then run it with vdms) |
