Hello everyone. I have been pondering for a while if I can run my games using DOSBox and get the original sound using VDMSound. Is this possible, and if so, how do I go about doing this? Thanks, Tiny.

Why would you want to do it anyway? DOSBox emulates all the sound cards VDMSound does, as far as I know.,

Actually you can do that. Just run dosbox with VDMsound and then input the usual commands to start a game.

Question is, what's the point? You'll only waste RAM and processor power that can be used for better purposes... ie playing games!

I never seen a game which took all this computer processing power Horseman. And if I would encounter such a game then I would immediatly flag it as a complete waste of time because no game is worth having 2 gigahertz of use on a computer only for graphics (including my graphic card). Indeed, what else could a computer use power for nowaday?

it shouldn't do a thing as vdmsound only works with dos programs and dosbox is a windows program.

That's true Eagle of fire but... i own a celeron 1.7ghz, 256 ddr, and a tnt2 32mb pci ... it's not big for playing new games but it's a HUGE machine for playing really old games..... but dosbox runs slow on my pc and some games run slow.... only a few games run smoothly on mi pc .... and some games on VDMsound too...
