:bye: Hey all! Many of us have probably owned quite a few game systems over the ages, and I`m wondering this.
What game was the greatest for that game system?
What game made you love it so much?
I`ll get it started with my first ever game system, the commodore64.
Of all the games I ever played for the C64, I have to say that H.E.R.O. was the most loveable game ever. Cant quite remember what the whole point of the game was anymore, but I recently played a sega 8-bit version of the game.
Apparently your goal was to save people that was lost in the mine.
Not as good as the original C64 game, but still playable. :bleh:

NEXT!

It's been a PC all of my life. It started off as a game that I called 'Monkey throw it nana' when I was young. It basically involved 2 gorillas who throw exploding bananas at each other and the survor won.

No idea what it is really called, but it was pretty much the precursor to Worms.

This was when I was 2 years old, like.

I'll be the third to reply:

As you all know, I am 14 years old, so my oldest system is Windows 98

The game: hmmmm....thats hard. Lemmee think. The first game I ever bought would be Simsafari. That was such a good game. I'm tired of it now though.

I would say the most memorable game of all time would have taken place about two years after simsafari. Descent: Freespace. Oh, Gosh I loved that game. I could play it over and over and over and over and over............ :Brain:

Hehe. I know the game. Used to play it in school when i was in second grade.
Had one hour of playing pc every friday before the weekend.
Quite an addictive game. (back then)
Could be fun to try it again someday.(Those old machines are probably still at the school even 15 years later.)

ZX28k?? You mena ZX Spectrum 48?

I still play (in better words: emulate) some old systems, such as C64 (Turrican, TaiPai, Bubble...), ZX Spectrum (There are some great games for this machine), Apple][, Amiga (my fav), and some old consoles (SMS, Gen, SNES, NES, TG16....)

But the games that started all for me are Galaxian, Phoenix, Scramble, Packmen, Space Inviders.... All those great games playable with Mame32 nowdays...

Well... on my old x86 (RIP) with DOS it was probably the Space Hulk. On my new hardware it's Bloodrayne - just because it was one of the first games I installed after three months of gaming starvation.

I'll never forget Paratrooper... A game that should really be put up on this site some day (hint, hint  ).
My first love might have been Sim City Classic...
But, I guess that my first true love would be Settlers II. It was the first game I ever owned, and it takes a special place in my heart  .
