Just grabbed this from underdogs and well it all runs very nicely until it decides to crash out with an error * MOVIE FILETYPE WRONG *

I really enjoyed this game when it first came out but it seems the abandonware is broken

Just downloaded the game, all seems fine untill about 5 mins in when it just quits. no error messages or anythin, simply closes.

any ideas

BTW runnin XP pro P4 1.5 GHZ 128 ram (yeah i know :blink: )

With DOSBox works fine for me. In HOTU there is some information at the bottom of the screen iirc.

Nope doesnt work 4 me. sound works which didnt b4 so thats cool.
but still crashes after about 5 mins sayin video file format wrong.
any ideas?

fragile allegiance looks really cool, but it keeps exiting with a message "ERROR: video file format wrong" each time i stay too long at the building screen(EDIT: this seems to hapen because the game lack certain building animations, insted just has thair still pictures, the game is thus playable, but highly annoying). does qanyone know how to slove this?

Found this in an old thread, any1 know how 2 do wot hes talkin about?

Yes, that is exactly what' s happening: a few animations for some buildings and "blueprints" are missing making the game crush when they are supposed to be shown. i have no solution to that, but i manage to play the game by being fast enough to hit the key "build" before the animation starts running.

OK fair enough, I think I can manage 'standard' english.

just used to yping how i type which is stndard from where im concerned.

if i slip back into 'slang' english then its because i been drinking, which is most of the time!!

I've got the game to work fine apart from the sound though; if i turn everything off in the installation setup then it seems to run fine, but it runs better when i run it straight from wondows without usin dosbox, weird mayb but i dont care!
