In the Mission Manual, they have some mistakes, like
the Tutorial 8 Mini-Map is the same as the Tutorial 9.
That's what came with the CD version of the game, unfortunately.
Quote:
For example, on the last Advance Tutorial, they suggest to protect the first 2 corridors, What?, I just send 1 guy in the corridor fronting the first Genestealers entrance, and shoot them as they pop out. You put a couple other guys nearby to replace him in case, and tada.
Try handling that tutorial entirely from the planning screen. During the campaign, there will be times when you can't FPS because you'll be too busy handling three or four fronts at once and making sure the entire plan doesn't go on a one-way ride down the drain - and sometimes without any Freeze Time either.

Hmm, the Maps are missing the Space Hulk Originals. If you happen to
have them, I'd love to add them to the directory. Though there's only
no. 6 (Defend) of that section I haven't completed. What you just said
totally apply to that mission. I appreciate that there's no timer: you have no idea how long you must hold.
I've done it! I completed Space Hulk! Well, most of it. I didn't complete some of the New Missions (cd-rom version) which looks even harder than the tougher missions of the Deathwing Campaign, but I've finished everything else.
It's not the hardest videogame I ever played, but it's pretty tough. You can't allow yourself to be distracted, you have to watch your marines like it's a case of life and death (well, it is, for them). Space hulk is addictive! Because I had to restart most missions over 10 times before I succeeded them, it was a party each time I completed one. It really is a perfect mix strategy-FPS, you can't win if you don't constantly switch modes.
While the sounds during play are sometimes laughable (nothing of the "scary videogame" I was looking for, after reading many reviews), the dark-scifi aesthetic of a religious army, and the ominous voice of the commander in chief are pretty convincing. The music is equally thrilling, both the DOS and the different Amiga version.
By the way, I noticed that the ending animation for the Avenged level (Deathwing Campaign) is different on my cd-rom version than the one I saw on Youtube. I know the Amiga version only has still images instead of animations, but haven't verified if the DOS disket version also uses stills. Also, I kept getting an animation of a spaceship crashing into a hulk each time I started a mission, and I'm not sure if this is normal or a bug (preventing me from seeing futher ANIM files). Thing is, I used a method of copying the SQUADINF file for saving, and I wonder if that could have messed up something.
Speaking of saving: you can't save in Space Hulk. You only get to continue the Deathwing campaign, but that is only when you know how to Quit. I have lost my campaign a couple times by using the standard T or CTRL-Quit method (it would then consider it as if I had killed my crew). You need to use ESC or directly quit Dosbox (if you use that program). Because the Deathwing Campaign is rather hard, but not necessarely in the later levels, I thought of offering here my saves for those who just want to reach a higher level but are stuck somewhere. You just replace your SQUADINF file in the Space Hulk directory with the proper one for the Mission you want to reach (there is also one save for all-missions-completed, but no save for the 2nd Deathwing Missions because the first two are too easy...Just reach the darn portal fast).
Here are the saves (alas, only 10 people can get them, but if this is somewhat useful, perhaps someone can put it up somewhere more permanent, I just don't know where):
Because there is no author for the text, and it mentions that it is an official guide from some (old forgotten?) EA website, I'm simply going to paste the guide here (I still prefer to use my own strategies):

SPACE HULK HINTS

GENERAL TIPS/TUTORIALS
GENERAL TIPS/BASIC TUTORIALS
The Basic Tutorials provide you the opportunity to master the game controls. The first three missions are free of alien threat, so take the time there to make sure you know all the actions available to your Terminator and that using them becomes second-nature. The last thing you want to do in the heat of battle is to fumble at the controls.
The last two basic tutorials give you a chance to master combat techniques and control multiple Terminators. In the final tutorial, be sure you have the Terminators cover one another. This technique will be used frequently in future missions. Keep in mind that Storm Bolters need to have some space between them to react in case one of them is killed. In all missions, avoid having Terminators, especially Storm Bolters, positioned in adjacent squares.
The Storm Bolter is the weapon of choice for most missions in Space Hulk, so be sure you become an expert. The Storm Bolter tends to jam at the most inopportune times, so be sure you keep an eye and ear on all your Terminators and take control if any of them jam. Storm Bolters are particularly useful in Hulks with long, straight corridors.
The other weapon of choice for many Hulkers is the Lightning Claws. Terminators equipped with these usually survive a long time and can be used to seal off corridors and genebanks. Lightning Claws are especially useful in Hulks with narrow, twisting passages.
Lastly, some Hulks have doors which can only be operated by your Terminators. These doors are lighter colored and have an insignia written on them. Closing these doors will prevent Genestealers from using the passage.
ADVANCED TUTORIAL ONE
This mission has a time limit so don't waste any time. To find the artifact you need to pick up, go to the three-by-three room in the eastern part of this level. You should find the artifact in the southwest corner of the room. Once you have the artifact, proceed quickly to the exit point. Don't forget to have other squad members cover the rear.
When you reach the exit point, you must close the door to end the mission.
ADVANCED TUTORIAL TWO
Position your terminators around the starting area to cover all entry points. Be wary of ambushes. Even with the best tactics, you may quickly find yourself with just one Terminator. If so, take control of him and run as fast as possible to rescue point. Fire continuously to ward off ambushes and use Freeze Time often to check the position of the Genestealers.
The best route to take is north and to the west along the outer perimeter of the level. Keep moving forward at all times.
ADVANCED TUTORIAL THREE
The doors on this level must be used to give you an advantage. The Genestealers are unable to operate these doors.
Always take control of the lead Terminator on this mission. If left alone, they will use their Storm Bolters to open any closed doors. Once a hole has been blown in a door, it cannot be closed and you lose the advantage.
One more word of advice: NEVER open a door when a Genestealer is immediately on the other side. Your Terminator will be killed before he knows what hit him.
ADVANCED TUTORIAL FOUR
Leave the Heavy Flamer behind to defend the starting point. Move the Storm Bolters in position to cover the nearby corridors making sure that all possible entry points are covered. If one Terminator dies, the mission will be difficult to complete.
ADVANCED TUTORIAL FIVE
Use every Terminator at your disposal to get one Heavy Flamer to the target. Move quickly whenever an opening occurs. If necessary, sacrifice Terminators to give the Flamer time to reach his target.
ADVANCED TUTORIAL SIX
Place two Terminators on opposite sides of the corridors leading to the Genebanks. The fifth Terminator should stay at the starting point to as a reserve. Fire at will to meet your objective.
ADVANCED TUTORIAL SEVEN
Try to avoid flaming in the central corridor as this will impede your forward motion and give the Genestealers a chance to build their numbers. Try luring the Genestealers into the side corridors before flaming. If any of the Terminators exhausts his Flamer, use him as bait and/or cannon fodder. In short, do whatever is necessary to get one Heavy Flamer to the target. Unless your lucky or have excellent timing, you will probably need to take one Heavy Flamer and feed him to the Genebank.
ADVANCED TUTORIAL EIGHT
One of your Assault Cannons must be used to open the area where the trapped squad is located. Once the squad is free, use the Storm Bolters to escort the Heavy Flamer back to the target on the west side. Once that area is flamed, use the southern corridor to reach the eastern target. Note that the door in the middle of this corridor cannot be operated by the Genestealers. Use this to your advantage.
ADVANCED TUTORIAL NINE
There are a few different ways to set up your Terminators for this mission. The quickest and most effective set-up is to place Storm Bolters at both ends of the two long corridors running North to South.
SPACE HULK CAMPAIGN
ORIGINAL MISSIONS
SUICIDE MESSAGE
You have just enough Storm Bolters to cover the corridors. If anyone dies, the mission will be very difficult to complete. Remember the mission ends immediately if the Heavy Flamer is killed. Move him out of the way until the Storm Bolters have secured the route.
EXTERMINATE
There are only two corridors leading directly to your party. Move one Storm Bolter at the head of each corridor. The two remaining Storm Bolters should be placed in back-up positions. They should be set back at least three or four squares if possible. Move the Heavy Flamer out of the way.
RESCUE
A difficult mission, try to keep the party with the CAT unit moving. If you get pinned down, the Genestealers will converge on your point quickly and overrun you. Keep the corridors leading to the genebanks covered. Try using the Heavy Flamers to seal off some corridors. Keep in mind that the flamers to not fire automatically. You must control them manually.
CLEANSE AND BURN
Move the Heavy Flamers out of the way until your Storm Bolters have established their positions. Use one Storm Bolter to control each of the two long corridors. The remaining Storm Bolters should cover Genestealer entry points. Save one Storm Bolter to cover behind each Heavy Flamer once they start moving to their targets. It is probably best to take one Heavy Flamer down to handle both targets. If he fails, then the other Flamer is still available.
DECOY
This mission is pretty straight forward. A few Storm Bolters will be able to cover the Genestealer entry points while the remaining Terminators make their way to rescue site.
DEFEND
Keep one Heavy Flamer and one Storm Bolter back at the ducting to keep it protected in case the Genestealers break through. Move the remaining Terminators into positions that will cover all corridors leading to the ducting.
ONE SQUAD MISSIONS
PURIFY
You must protect the Heavy Flamers. The first two rooms should be fairly easy to reach and flame. If you have difficulty getting to the final two rooms, place one Storm Bolter directly in front of each Heavy Flamer and lead the way to the target. As soon as the Flamer reaches the target, flame away. The two lead Storm Bolters will be sacrificed to achieve the mission objective.
BLOCKADE
Leave the Heavy Flamer behind to guard the lower corridor. The remaining Terminators should provide cover for the Terminator bearing the CAT unit. When he reaches the exit point, he must close the doors to end the mission.
STRANDED
If you move your Terminators into position quickly, the mission is not difficult to complete. Establish positions that cover the Genestealer entry points, then quickly move the Heavy Flamer to the target before the Storm Bolters are overrun.
LOST SCROLLS
The most important thing to know is where the scrolls lie. This will prevent you from unnecessarily sending Terminators into dangerous areas.
Notice on the map that there are three rooms clustered about the center of the level. The first scroll will be found in the northeast room. Look in the northwest corner of the room.
The second scroll is located in the corridor south of the northwest room. The scroll is in the corner where the corridor turns to the east.
The third scroll is the most difficult to reach. It is located in the wide corridor running along the west side of the level. The scroll is towards the south end of the corridor along its eastern wall.
Five Storm Bolters are just enough to get the job done. You must have at least three Terminators to retrieve the scrolls. If anyone is killed, the mission will be difficult to complete.
ADVANCE
The target for the Heavy Flamer is in the south central area of the level. There are only ten Genestealers on this level and no genebanks to generate more. The best tactic is to establish positions near the starting point and wait for the Genestealers to come to you. Once all ten are killed, you are free to take your Heavy Flamer to the target.
SWARM
Watch out for Genestealers coming in from behind. The exit point only has room for one Terminator, so feel free to use four Storm Bolters to provide cover for the lead man. Move quickly when you get close to the exit point or you will be overrun with Genestealers.
TWO SQUAD MISSIONS
CLEANSE
Use the long corridors to your advantage with the Storm Bolters. Remember to keep the Bolters spread out by at least three or four squares. Two or three Storm Bolters per Heavy Flamer should suffice as cover. Keep the remaining Storm Bolters in reserve in case of an unfortunate death. Try to take only one Heavy Flamer to all four targets, leaving the second Flamer safely in reserve.
FIGHT TO THE DEATH
Leave Terminators Five and Ten at the rear of each entry point. Quickly move the other eight Terminators in the corridors surrounding the central core. More than likely, only Number Five or Number Ten will be alive when the mission is complete.
COVERING FIRE
A long mission, note first that Terminator Three is carrying the CAT unit.
As you move through the hulk, trail Terminators to guard the rear. Place your Heavy Flamers at the most rear positions and keep a frequent eye on their surroundings. Remember that Flamers do not fire automatically. If you let them get overrun, they will probably be killed.
When you reach the exit point with the CAT unit, close the door to complete the mission.
REARGUARD
The Magus is flaming away at the center of the level. The target for your Heavy Flamer is in the southern portion of the level.
Select a squads made primarily of Lightning Claws. One Heavy Flamer and one or two Storm Bolters should suffice. Make sure their second weapon is a good close combat weapon such as a chain fist or power sword.
Killing the Magus requires timing. You will want to use either a Storm Bolter or the Heavy Flamer to do the deed. Walk to the edge of the area the Magus is flaming. Immediately after the flames subside, approach the Magus and fire at will. One flame shot is the quickest way. As soon as the Magus is dead, quickly get your Flamer to the target point. The Lightning Claws should be able to hold off the Genestealers long enough.
DEATHWING CAMPAIGN
MENACING IMAGES - ANTE CHAMBER
MENACING IMAGES
The Genestealers have laid out many ambushes on this level so proceed with caution. A good tactic is to take control of one Terminator to explore the level. Head for the northwest corner and fire continuously to ward off any ambushes.
WITCH HUNT
You will probably be ambushed within your first few steps on this mission so be prepared. Head straight north to reach your goal. You will have to make one jog to the right.
Fire your Storm Bolter continuously to ward off enemy ambushes.
***BANEFUL ICON OF THE FOE***
No Genestealers will appear until the statue has been destroyed. The room with the statue is north and east of the starting point. The best strategy is to enter the room and pick up the item you need WITHOUT disturbing the statue. Now exit the room and turn around to face the statue. Shoot the statue until it is destroyed, then move immediately to the north end of the next corridor. WAIT THERE!
A horde of Genestealers will come out of the genebanks on the west side of the level. Continue killing them until you sense a break in the action. Use Freeze Time often to check the location of the enemy. Do not take unnecessary risks to reach the exit point. When the way is clear, run down to the opposite end of hall back to the starting point. Freeze Time and check the Genestealer locations. Repeat this procedure, running short distances until you reach the transporter. YOU MUST CLOSE THE TRANSPORTER DOOR TO COMPLETE THE MISSION!
One final word of caution: If you are forced into hand-to-hand combat, your Terminator will automatically drop the item he is carrying to use the Power Glove. Remember to pick up the item before you move from your position. If you close the transporter door and the mission does not end, you probably dropped the item somewhere and need to start the mission over.
DELIVERANCE
Begin the mission by using the lone Terminator, Sabathius to close the two doors nearest him. The first door is to the south and east of his starting point; the second door is at the starting point. Protect Sabathius by closing the second door from within the room. He will now be protected from all Genestealers.
The remaining four members of your squad must secure the other three doors. Be sure to have your Terminators cover each other as they traverse the corridors.
EXTRICATION
The lead member of the squad being rescued is carrying an item. If he is killed, another Terminator must pick up the object. This level is riddled with ambushes, so keep a close watch on all squad members. You should take control of the Terminator carrying the object and manually walk him down the long corridor along the east side of the level. Have at least one member of that squad covering the rear.
The rescue squad should fan out around the rescue point. Leave Terminator Ten close to the rescue point just in case any Genestealers break through.
PURGE
A difficult mission because you only have two Storm Bolters. Position one the Flamers at the north end of the main corridor. Remember, the flames cover a three by three area, so position him three squares south of the two corridors coming out.
A second flamer should cover the corridor coming in from the east. Remember that flamers do not fire automatically, so you must keep a watch on them and fire their weapons manually when an enemy appears.
The remaining flamer and the two Storm Bolters should make their way to the target. One good tactic is to sandwich the flamer between the Storm Bolters. Let one bolter lead the way while the other bolter covers the rear.
ANTE CHAMBER
Send three Storm Bolters to secure the two eastern corridors. The fourth Storm Bolter and the Heavy Flamer should go straight for the target area.
Remember, all five Terminators must survive this mission. When you reach the target area, move the Storm Bolter into a safe corner of the room such that he can still shoot at any Genestealers coming from the genebanks. Place your Heavy Flamer directly in front of the target area. After you have flamed the target, due an immediate about face and get out of there. Back your Storm Bolter out of the area to prevent any Genestealer attacks.
You must move all five squad members into the teleport area to complete the mission.
THE PERIMETER - SEARCH FOR EVIL
THE PERIMETER
One of the most difficult missions to complete, The Perimeter tests your skill at commanding a squad spread out across the hulk.
The door to the left of the starting point is secure and will prevent any Genestealers from coming through. Be careful not to shoot at the door or you will lose the upper hand.
Move three men down the eastern corridor, leaving the remaining two to secure the area to the north of the starting point. You may have to kill dozens of Genestealers before you can safely move men into position.
The two most difficult points to reach and hold are the one to the far northwest and the one to the far northeast. Because of the difficulty in holding these positions, you want to try to reach them simultaneously. You will have an extra terminator in the east to help cover, but the Terminator in the Northwest is on his own against three genebanks from opposite directions.
Good luck!
FUNERAL PYRE
Two important things to note on this mission. First, remember that the flames on this level will not subside; therefore, be careful not to seal your squad off from areas of the hulk you still need to reach.
Second, although the flames do not subside, some Genestealers will still make it through. Do not assume that your rear is covered just because you have flamed behind you.
If you are careful about protecting your Heavy Flamers, you should be able to complete this mission with three Storm Bolters and two Heavy Flamers. If you find yourself losing Flamers, replace one of the Storm Bolters with an extra Flamer.
Use Freeze Time often to track enemy movements.
TESTAMENT TO HONOR
Testament to Honor is one of the most challenging missions you will encounter. The first thing to note is that some of the blast doors in this part of the hulk cannot be opened by the Genestealers. The first one is directly east of the starting point. Be sure you send your lead Terminator to secure this door before continuing your exploration of the level.
The journey to the exit point is long and winding. Your squad should consist primarily of Lightning Claws with one or two Storm Bolters. Use the Lightning Claws to seal off corridors leading to the genebanks.
Do not bother exploring the southern reaches of the level; your goal is to the north. You must initially go south from the starting point, turning to the east at the second corridor. Remember the first corridor leads to the blast door you have previously secured.
Once you have secured key corridors with the Lightning Claws, the best tactic is to try taking two Terminators up to the exit point. Have the rear man move backwards often to protect the rear. Don't forget to try closing any doors you find. The doors with the circle insignia cannot be opened by the Genestealers.
DESCENT
As you walk down the first corridor, don't worry about the Genestealers gathering to the left. They are unable to open the door leading into your area. You will need the Assault Cannon to open a pair of blast doors near the end of this level, so don't waste any shots prematurely except in an emergency.
Once your squad has exited the first corridor, post one Lightning Claw to kill any Genestealers generated from the genebanks. The other Lightning Claw will be useful for sealing off another genebank a little further along.
When you reach the blast doors, use the Assault Cannon within two or three squares of the doors. Be prepared to immediately fight several Genestealers. It is best to have at least one Storm Bolter several paces behind the Assault Cannon just in case he is overwhelmed. Once the blast doors are open and the way is clear, quickly make your way to the exit point. You will probably only get one or two Terminators off this level alive.
WEB OF FLAMES
This mission lets you select your own squads. You should be able to complete the mission with two Heavy Flamers. The remainder of your forces should include at least some if not all Lightning Claws. Flame the two inner targets as soon as possible while the remaining Terminators attempt to pave the way to the two outer targets. If possible, get Lightning Claws into the northern corridor to prevent any Genestealers from entering the main level. Quick movement and decision-making is essential for success.
You must get at least one Terminator to the exit point after flaming the four targets.
TO THE EMPEROR
The Brood Brother will be found in the lower left sector of this level. The safest way to take him out is with a Storm Bolter at long range. Once you eliminate the initial waves of Genestealers, you should be able to take control of this mission. Remember to keep everyone covered at all times.
One Terminator must reach the exit to successfully complete the mission.
SEARCH FOR EVIL
Select a squad with three Lightning Claws and two Storm Bolters with Power Gloves. You must have a Power Glove to pick up the blueprints.
As you exit the starting area, place one Lightning Claw in the corridor to the east. Take the remaining four squad members to the west. As you turn south, place one Storm Bolter facing east at the first intersection. Leave one Lightning Claw nearby as back-up. The other Lightning Claw and Storm Bolter should proceed south to the next intersection.
Leave the last Lightning Claw facing south and take control of the Storm Bolter moving east. At the first intersection, go south, then turn back west immediately. This will lead you to a corridor heading south with three alcoves to the west. The southernmost alcove has a genebank. The northernmost alcove is where the object you seek lies. Quickly move into the alcove and retrieve the blueprints. Use Freeze Time often to keep an eye on the genebank. After you have the blueprints, you should retreat your forces quickly but carefully. The holder of the blueprints must return safely to the starting point.
SEED OF THE ENEMY - AVENGED
SEED OF THE ENEMY
This mission and the next mission take place in the same part of the hulk.
The quickest and safest route to take is along the corridor running west-to-east along the northern boundary of the level. Use Storm Bolters to lead the way for the Heavy Flamer. You should have either Storm Bolters or Lightning Claws protecting the Heavy Flamer's rear.
When you reach the large area where the targets lie, position the Storm Bolters to take out any Genestealers approaching from the nearby genebanks. This mission provides a good dress rehearsal for the more difficult mission to come.
TECH SUPPORT
One of the longest missions to complete, Tech Support requires the coordination of all ten Terminators. Because they must each carry a mine to a specific target, all Terminators should be equipped with a Storm Bolter and a Power Glove. Remember, if any Terminator is forced to use the Power Glove in combat, he will drop the item he is carrying. Don't forget to pick it up before moving on.
The best tactic is to take one squad along the northern corridor and one squad along the southern corridor. The southern squad has the longer and more treacherous route. The Storm Bolters should be able to cover one another as they make their way to their targets. Don't forget to cover the rear.
When you reach the targets, keep in mind that the mines are placed one square in front of the Terminator. You should therefore place the Terminator one square behind the target before placing the mine.
The doors at the exit point must be closed to trigger the mines. Do not do so until all ten mines have been properly placed.
ULTIMATE FIREPOWER
A clever trick will get you out of this mission quickly with the least risk of failure.
You must retrieve three objects to succeed. The Storm Bolters can each carry one case of Assault Cannon ammunition. Since they cannot use the ammunition, they are counted as retrieved objects. The third case of ammunition should be picked up by one of the Assault Cannons. The ammunition cases are located in the southeast corner of the large room east of the starting point.
Now you only need to find one more object. You will find one near the northeast corner of the level. Keep walking east past the room with ammunition and you will find it. One of the remaining Assault Cannons can pick up this object.
Now all you have to do is walk south along the eastern edge of the level. The long corridors are perfect for the Storm Bolters. Use the Assault Cannons as needed to guard the flanks and rear. Stay in the narrow corridors as much as possible to contain the enemy's movement.
THE ECHELON OF FOUL SPAWN
Be very careful at the start of this mission. The flaming heat vents can take out an entire squad. Take one Storm Bolter into the first area and quickly destroy the four vents. Watch out for Genestealers entering from the nearby genebanks.
Once the area is secured, quickly move your squad across the room and down the corridor with the three flame targets. One Heavy Flamer should bring up the rear.
At the south end of the corridor to be flamed is a blast door that cannot be opened by the Genestealers. The Flamer should close this door behind him. Once done, the only threat comes from the north.
Flaming the corridor completes the first half of the mission. The more difficult task lies ahead. To the north are several demonic icons flanked by active genebanks. These icons emit flames frequently. You must position your Storm Bolters to destroy the icons and any Genestealers entering the area.
Destroying the central icon requires exact timing. Stand at the edge of the area being flamed and wait. The moment the flames die down, immediately enter the area and destroy the icon. Any hesitation increases the risk of going down in flames. Literally.
HONOR ON TRIAL
You must retrieve an object from this part of the hulk. It is located in the northeast corner of the level, surrounded by a nest of genebanks. In selecting your squad, you must have at least one Terminator with Storm Bolter and Power Glove to pick up the object. The rest of your two squads should be equipped mostly with Lightning Claws since you will working in close quarters. Use the Lightning Claws to cover the Storm Bolter as he retrieves the object. After the object is picked up, get the Storm Bolter to the exit point as fast as possible. The Lightning Claws must do everything possible to ensure the safe delivery of the object to the exit point.
If all your Storm Bolters die, you must start the mission over since the Lightning Claws are unable to carry objects.
FINAL CONFRONTATION
Equip your squads with eight Lightning Claws and two Storm Bolters. The main thrust of your advance through this level will be straight down the main corridor running north-to-south through the heart of the hulk.
The Storm Bolters should lead the way with a trail of Lightning Claws to seal off the side corridors and the rear. Systematically make your way down to the southern part of the level.
Closing two blast doors will make your task much easier. The first of these doors is southeast of the room at the end of the main corridor. Sealing that door will protect you from much of the Genestealer horde. It also prevents any retreat from the genebanks directly ahead of you.
Quickly make your way past the genebanks and into the very large room. To the north of this area is a corridor that leads to the Patriarch. Just before you reach the Patriarch is a second blast door. Once it is closed, you are left with a one-on-one battle with the Patriarch.
Wait for the Patriarch to flame the area before him and walk to the edge of the flames. Immediately after the flames subside, enter the area and fire at will. You have only a few moments before the Patriarch flames again.
AVENGED
The final level is not difficult when you realize that there are no genebanks. The number of Genestealers is fixed, so sit tight at the starting point and wait for them to come to you.
Once you feel all the Genestealers are dead, proceed to explore the level. You will find your goal in the far southeast.

Walkthrough
There is another mention on that website of a cheat trick, about typing
"i need help" at some point. I could never figure that one out.
Ah well, I had a blast, and I'll be back for some Warhammer 40,000 darknes soon enough.

hi I can play most missions using dos box 0.74 on vista but get a crash and stutter at the end of some missions so I can't progress further then mish 4 on deathwing - also get a stutter and crash on intro if I dont skip (after gw logo flashes up and while spacemarine waves his sword) - other people seem to have had this problem and solve3d it by upgrading to 0.74 but that's what I'm using - can anyone help - great game - shame not to get to later missions
thanks
Go into the DOSBox config and try switching the emulated soundcard to Sound Blaster Pro 2 instead of the default Sound Blaster 16 and the MPU401 emulation to UART or none (Intelligent was causing problems in some games IIRC)

hey, tried the changes of conf with these combinations but still no joy - still crashes with stutter in the same places - anything else I could try?
thanks
