I'm not saying that MOO is bad, but just that it was not the game that amazed me same as the X-Com. Both of them are turn based, but X-Com turns to be a game that no other games came close to. (I played both first time about the time they came out) Same happened couple years later with Civ2.
So I would agree that MOO can offer many hours of play! |

I didn't see anything fancy about master of orion. UFO was hell of a scary game in those times, but they weren't good enough to me to become superclassic. I understand that many people respect those games but I've always been more to arcade- or games that are more action packed.

MOO2 is the best strategy ever made. Even better than Civ (maybe civ3 can be compared with it)

in the end it comes down to what u were brought up on. I was introduced to moo at an early age and got hooked, i cant get enough of it... cant.... get.... enough... MOO... ever.... its almost scary...
honestly, ive put more hours into moo than any other game ever... and its still as fun as the day i started
