I liked no.2 the best.
This site should have a skin chooser. imho With the choices something like Classic, minimal, ect. and save the settings in a cookie. |

I really like the abandonia logo in red_avatars design. It's very retro.
 And I like the nerds. They are cute.

Wow it's such a terrible idea to open a new design to a debate, especially an incomplete one. Years of experience in interactive design taught me so. Just trust a designer, brief him and let him do it. You can't design something collectively with unqualified people commenting during the process. It'll be amateurish and no one will be happy anyway.

I voted for the second option because I thought that version of Red Avatar's Abandonia re-design not only looked better, but it also gave Abandonia much tighter visual integration with Abandonia's sister site, Abandonia Reloaded.
