I've been trying to use GIMP to make some icons out of game screenshots, but I've got a few problems and questions.

First, altough GIMP apparently allows saving multiple icons in the same file, Windows "sees" only one of them when I enter the properties tab of the given shortcut and try to change the icon.

Second, any icon I try to save with different settings then 32bpp/8bpp transparency does not work correctly when opened in Windows (some parts become transparent even if they shouldn't be, and some transparent parts become opaque).

Third... how can I compile my icons into icon libraries in ICL or DLL formats?
