ahh okay, you didn't mount the lionking folder but the one before it...
okay type the following cd lionking (or whatever you called the folder) lionking I THINK that should work.... if you called your folder lion king it probably won't work because theres a space.... dosbox doesn't like spaces... |

Here is a brief list of speed control shortcuts: CTRL-F7 Decrease frameskip. CTRL-F8 Increase frameskip. CTRL-F11 Decrease DOSBox Cycles. CTRL-F12 Increase DOSBox Cycles. I find 16000 to 18000 cycles does it. For my part, this is a good game. It is a vast improvement on the one I used to play - on a SEGA Master System II. Most notably, on the MS2, the Stampede level was basically Simba jumping ledges and avoiding landing in front of the wildebeast. These were basically sprites that glide along the bottom with absolutely no animation whatsoever and look more like buffalo than wildebeast. Furthermore, their speed relates to the screen region, not the level, so they seemed to move faster as you progress to the right. On the PC version, they came a long way. Now your viewpoint dollies in front of a running Simba looking back and the charging wildebeast creep up behind. All you have to do here is move out of their way as they overtake and jump over the many rocks lying in your path. :w00t: Also, I might add that the battle with Scar at the end is much more engaging! Just avoid getting smacked! |

Hello Guys,
it is true, that you can't save the game but there is still a cheat to skip the first levels (as far as I remember: When the game starts and you see the menu screen - Type "dwarf" it will say say something about having entered the cheat mode. when you start the game afterwardds you can skip levels by pressing "L" (I believe, I didn't play it for some time so I might be wrong, just try other letters if L doesn't work) There might be some other features of the cheat mode but zhis is the only one I ever used - have fun. |
