Well, peeps... it's new year, and protections on a few old titles have just expired.
So it happens that NHL Hockey '93 is one of them - starting right now, it's downloadable once more.

Gameplay needs to be sped up a bit in Dosbox to make it a bit more playable, but non the less a fantastic hockey game for its time. A lot of differences between NHL '94 and this version, which was also amazing in its own right. A quick question though; why are the default teams the Buffalo Sabres and the Pittsburg Penquines? Neither of those teams were in the Stanley Cup Finals the prior season.

Hi,

There's an error in the title! This is NOT NHL Hockey 93 but NHL Hockey also know under the name NHL '94 as in hockey, game released in september/october is for the season 93-94, so 1994.

Here's an mobygames source: http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/nhl-94

And the developer was Park Place Productions but published by EA.

whoa, my favourite ice hockey game. its only fault is it is too simple to master the game, computer is far from being an even opponent. still, i cant figure out how can anyone prefer those new nhl, theyre all the same, all so boooring

btw, napostriouf is right, but the game is known as nhl hockey 93, nhl hockey, nhl 93, so thats quite ok

If we say the year number, we must say NHL 94, not 93 (See mobygames link below) as this is for the season 93/94. (Like any other NHL games published by EA)

By the way here's a video preview for those who wants to know how is the game live!

seems like you were right about it and the Screenshots match too. Though there is no Info in the Game about the Titlename. anyways I changed it.

This is NHL Hockey 93. There is no DOS-Version for it.

Napostriouf is write, but the game is NHL Hockey 93 because the game was lanch in 93, and the game is refered to that season, and it´s normal many games are know by different name in ths kind of sports games, so all the informations are correct....also the the informations in the review.

I was playing NHL10 on 360 the other day and looked at the control setup. There's an option to use NHL 94 controls. Funny how well even the console control scheme has stood the test of time. Still a very good PC game though.
