Is there a way of simulating a joystick? I've wanted to try X-Wing Collector's Edition from a friend, but it won't let me start the game, due to not having a joystick.

If you mean in DOSBox, I think so, just map whatever keys you want as the virtual joystick's axes and buttons. You can access the mapper by pressing Ctrl+F1.

Yes, of course, there are many ways of stimulating the joystick...
Oh... ...you meant like...alright. Try the driver mentioned here, although you'll perhaps still need a joystick to control anything ingame, dunno... EDIT: or perhaps GlovePIE has some options for IDing and acting as a joystick... EDIT2: And, this one was referred to on pirate bay (of all places): Quote:

Oh, maybe I should have posted a reply instead.
Anyways, that PPjoy thing indeed has the possibility to control a virtual joystick via mouse, or keyboard if you like. Install a virtual joystick from the "driver-window" and then run the ppJoyMouse.exe-file (from the 'not-installed archive'). - Arand |
