Angry Trouble trying to run a game in DOSBOX

Okay, so I'm trying to run a game in DOSBOX (Ultima 7, if it matters). I have part one and part 2 for it, so I have two files, one named U1, and one named U2. I successfully changed the directory, and when I do "C:\ U1" It says "Illegal action." I was following directions STRAIGHT from the Wiki, and I'm sure I did everything right. Is it because the files for the games are ZIP files? If so, do I just extract them? Or what?

You have to extract them. DOSBox doesn't run games from inside compressed archives.
