Haha I think my mate had one of those things, he was so popular! I remember for the pong game it had the paddles with the rotating dial on it

Yes, that it did. I was popular too but I think the poster of Debbie Harry in my bedroom was the cause for my instant popularity

I think I was maybe 5 when my parents got me an educational game console called Socrates. I think it was made by V-Tech. This must have been 1990, maybe? Then I inherited a bored uncle's Atari 2600. Got a Tandy 1000 in 1991. So it must have been at least 16, maybe 17 years of gaming for me.

Hi everyone, I'm new in here.

I began videogaming back in 1982. I was six and a friend of mine had a C64 for Christmas. I had to wait until 1987 to have a computer on my own, an Olivetti Prodest PC128 (an italian clone of the Thomson MO6). Then, in 1991, after that microcomputer and a Sega Master System, I had my very first PC, powered by an Intel 80286 running at the astonishing speed of 12Mhz, with a black and white Hercules video card, 1Mb RAM and 40Mb Seagate HDD. So precious!

Hi Midnight Cowboy!

My first PC was an Olivetti, almost exactly like your 286, or maybe exactly so.

Nice! I didn't know Olivetti exported its PC's in Spain! Many newborn gamers would probably not understand how we could play on those machines, whit a couple of sprites and a lot of imagination, but thanks to that experience, I can say that today I look at the very essence of a game, and not only at the fancy eye candies.

Those were the days....

Olivetti sold a lot of stuff in Spain. Our old mechanical typewriter was also an Olivetti whose case was made of cast iron and weighted a ton or so. LOL
