I've been trying desperately to get Wiz Gold to play properly in XP using the CD from the "ultimate rpg archives'. However when I talk to an NPC, the text zips by to the last thing they say and the narrator is still at the beginning. Somtimes you can't always understand the NPC and i keep missing important clues that I need. Then I have to look at the clue file and I end up seeing something that I shouldn't.

I've tried every setting in the game, every slow down program and every patch available for the game. Anyway to make the text scroll properly? I believe you are supposed to be able to hit the space bar or something to advance the text paragraph by paragraph....

I played throuh 70% of this game with Win98 and everything was fine. I don't wanna use Dosbox to play W7 as I don't wanna have to map the game out or look at printed out maps.

Please help...i'll probably forget to check this board so please email any ideas to todd280@gmail.com
