when i open this it has the "audio failed to initialize" or something like that ... (many VGA sierra games have it) then it continues to the screen with the large green sierra logo and it glimmers twice than it doesnt advance ...
i use win 98

also is the Kinqs quest 5 an 6 on this site talkie if so, how do you get talkies to work? :help:

I used to get the same error when i tried to run the game without setting the sound environment(ie SET BLASTER line within my autoexec)
Anyway did you try Dosbox? What are your computer specs?

You could try Dosbox, but i think the game will run choppy on your comp.

This game runs pretty good on my comp (Win xp) if i choose Roland MT-32 (i have emulator) , btw game will run too with Vdmsound on default settings .

Since you are running Win98 I suggest you look here first at the quoted guide at the end of the second post for tips about how to configure your autoexec.bat and config.sys so you can play old games.

all the .drv files dont get extracted?

sorry for the triple post but... the .rdv files wont copy and the file sound001.002 is corrupt... :help: i downloaded 60 megs on a 56k took like 8 hours .. now its corrupt!
