I think that highscore nobrainers got extinct just for reason. There's always a point where you'll have had enough of even the best game. Not to discuss when you actually want a game with some actual story or depth. But back then that was the way things were and Spy Hunter was da coolest.

The only problem with playing Spy Hunter on a console or computer is that cool yoke steering wheel with all the weapon buttons. It doesn't play as well with a gamepad or keyboard.

It's impossible to take the enemies out of the road with the keyboard, I use the mouse in Mame but of course it's nothing near to the awesome original arcade controls:

I rented this game for NES and have the ROM for some EMU and an EMU for my smartphone.

I recall a lot of old NES games having a lot of levels, in fact, an un-realistic amount of levels, such as SONIC 1 (at least)

I have the ROM on my smartphone and I've been playing it every couple of days in class when I get bored, and I'm on scrap brain zone act 3, which took a long time to complete, and I had to save it every so often (otherwise it would be IMPOSSIBLE)
