The longest word in Turkish (a language known for its long words):

ÇEKOSLOVAKYALILASTIRAMADIKLARIMIZDANMISINIZ

it means something like "are you one of the people whom we couldn't Czechoslovakianize?" (i.e. make into a Czechoslovakian)

I wish we had words for full statements.

I never thought Canadians could be so stupid:

On a Canadian two dollar bill, the flag flying over the Parliament Building is an American flag.

Only one asteroid in the entire solar system has a moon: Ida

The moon is Dactyl.

Another fact (kinda common sense) you can never have more replies than views on the forum.

uuuuummmmmm..... When exactly is that one from? We haven't had a 2 dollar bill for years, and before that it was the British flag over the Parliament building (I believe).

In the home, more injuries are caused by beanbags than by meat-cleavers.

The most common cause for destruction of computer hardware is incorrectly installling a water-cooling kit. (Let this be a warning!)

And also...
Squirrels are the only rodents who can play the tuba.

(Ok, so I lied on that last one)

If you could run as fast as a roach could that was your size, your legs would fall off from walking.

The chances of your dying on the trip to buy your MegaBucks ticket is greater than your chance of winning

Clans of long ago that wanted to get rid of their unwanted people without killing them used to burn their houses down - hence the expression "to get fired."

An ostrich's eye is bigger than it's brain.

Thomas Jefferson and John Adams both died on July 4, 1826, the 50th anniversary of the Declaration of Independances signing.

President Andrew Jackson was taught to read and write by his wife.
